Mirabilé, the Nottingham-based female vocal ensemble, return to Southwell Minster to present a programme of choral music including music by John Tavener, Francis Poulenc and Gabriel Fauré, and concluding with Panis Angelicus by César Franck.
The Mirabilé Vocal Ensemble was established in 2002 and is based in Nottingham, comprising of experienced, auditioned singers. They have performed in many cathedrals across the country and in prestigious venues around Europe. Crowned “Best Female Choir” in the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, they enjoy performing a mixed repertoire of classical and contemporary pieces under the musical directorship of Anthony Rose.
Admission to this concert, which lasts approximately 45 minutes, is FREE. There is a retiring collection after the concert, proceeds of which go towards the Minster’s Milo Chorister Fund which helps support the Cathedral Chorister Programme. Please pick up a free programme upon your arrival. The concert will be preceded by tea, coffee and biscuits – available from 1pm onwards. Entrance to this concert, which will be held in the Quire, will be via the South Door.
