Cathedral Carol Service I

Monday 23rd December at 7pm
Cathedral Carol Service

Our carol service follows the traditional pattern of the famous service at King’s College, Cambridge. As well as hearing choral music sung by the Cathedral Choir, there is the chance to sing well-known Christmas carols in a joyful and uplifting setting. The journey to Bethlehem, birth of Jesus, adoration of the shepherds and the coming of the Magi are all part of this festive service of readings and music.

This service is likely to be very popular. We recommend arriving well in advance of the service start time in order to guarantee a seat.

Please do join in at home as you are comfortably able: you may wish to stand, sit and kneel as you normally would in church (we have included instructions for posture in the order of service for this reason), and/or to speak and sing along with the congregational elements of the service.

A live streaming of service from the Minster will appear below at 7pm. You do not need to sign in to watch it.

If the service doesn't appear, please refresh your browser by pressing F5 in Windows, or Command + R for Mac users.

You can also watch this service on the Southwell Minster Youtube channel: VIEW HERE

A recording of this service will remain available for viewing until 6 January 2025.
