On Thursday 11 August there will be a 30-40 minute service in the Palace Gardens to celebrate creation and to remember Saint Clare of Assisi, friend of St Francis who had such a respect and love for the natural world.
This is part of the Minster’s response to the climate emergency, as proposed by Southwell Minster’s Environment Action Group.
The service will begin at 1.30pm. If it rains, we will shelter under the newly installed Octagon.
If it is fine, you are invited to bring a picnic from 12.30pm to enjoy the peace of the garden and to talk with friends. There are a few benches, but you might wish to bring a picnic chair.
