The vibrant young British mezzo-soprano Emily Hodkinson studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where she, in September, will be joining the Alexander Gibson Opera School. Praised for her attractive, persuasive and honest performances, she is forging a path as an operatic and concert performer and recitalist. Her programme will include Elgar’s Sea Pictures and Copland’s Four Early Songs.
All ‘Music in the Great Hall’ concerts are in the historic State Chamber of the Archbishop’s Palace, Southwell Minster at 7.30pm, with refreshments served from 7.00pm. Admission is free (no reservations) with a retiring collection to support the work of Southwell Minster Choir Association.
